大学英语B词汇与语法，成人教育大学英语考试必备资料。

掌握名词用法、所有格、近义词辨析。  

名词定义  ——表示人、事物、机构、活动或抽象概念的名称的词。 

another, others, the others, the other 和 else 的用法：

another 表三者（以上）的“另一个”，后面如果直接跟名词的话，只能修饰单数可数名词。  

      如： I don’t like this one. Please show me another.

the other 指两者中的另一个，或后面加名词指“其余所有的……”  

      如：He has two daughters. One is a nurse, the other is a worker.

the others 是“其余的”意思，表示在一个范围内的其他全部。  

      表示 the other+复数名词，如：Two boys will go to the zoo, and the others will stay at home.

else 表“另外的”，常与疑问词和不定代词连用。  

      如： What else can I say ？I  have nothing else to say

......

比较级的特殊用法：  

倍数+as…as ，“是…的多少倍”  

      如： This book costs three times as much as that one.

much, far, still, even+比较级表一方超过另一方程度，“…得多”  

      如：Her handwriting is much better than mine.

比较级+and+比较级，“越来越…”  

      如：Winter is coming . It is getting colder and colder.

the + 比较级+主语+谓语…, the+比较级+主语+谓语…,“越…就越…”  

      如：The more you work for the people, the happier you will get.

......

情态动词+动词完成时（have done）

    表示猜测、责备、遗憾的语气。

    must have done 一定已经，表肯定的猜测

    could have done 本来可以， 表责备

    could/can not have done 不可能已经，表否定

    may/might have done 本来可以/也许已经 ,表责备或猜测

    should/ ought to have done 本来应该， 表责备

    shouldn’t have done 本来不该，表责备

    need have done 本来需要
